FRONTEXT is a machine for generating european folktales.
Riffing on the name of the EU border control scheme, the device combines the texts of politicians like Donald Trump, Viktor Orban and Horst Seehofer with the Aarne-Thomson-Uther Index of archetypical story types, motifs and forms. Every 30 seconds, the apparatus prints out a new, original and modernized narrative on a slip of receipt paper.
